Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode

What do you get when you combine Zombies and Gears of War Horde Mode? You get Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode!!

One can only presume that this will bring Call of Duty up to a competitive level against rival shooter games such as Gears of War and Halo. Granted, Call of Duty already has a huge fan base; but, all they had for multiplayer was...well, multiplayer. Get with it Infinity Ward (and Treyarch as well for that matter!)...where is the campaign co-op?!?! Kudos to Infinity Ward for adding something other than Zombies and Spec Ops. While Spec Ops offered many many hours of fun in trying to beat all the Spec Ops on Veteran, there wasn't a big replay factor in it. At least in Survivor Mode, there are endless hours of co-op fun! 9 out of 10 in my book...add Campaign Co-op and I'll buy stock in Infinity Ward!

What will Survivor Mode bring us? I mentioned before Horde Mode...Survival Mode will be similar with the typical bad guys runnin and gunnin. Remember when I mentioned Zombies? Attack dogs will come later on in the waves when difficulty increases; but, as difficulty increases, those dogs have C4 strapped on as suicide dogs. Juggernauts and helicopters are back as a "Boss Round" for lack of terminology, obviously accompanied by everything experienced up to that point. Sounds impossible right? Nay, Infinity Ward has implemented a currency system where Kill Streak Rewards can be bought to include better guns, ammo, autoturrets, equipment and perks. For backup, you can order air support, air strikes and even an additional squad of infantry. 

I am personally psyched about this new feature/add on to the Modern Warfare series. Unlike other games, there is no wave cap to be reported...which can only mean some impossibly difficult waves!! Co-op up and stay frosty---November 8 Release Date!!

Every Gamer Needs a Good Headset

Today I tell you about every Gamer's (Shooters) best friend. A good and reliable headset is key to getting to the next level of gaming, to that higher killstreak more often, and give you even MORE kills then deaths.

I personally use the Tritton AX Pro and will never use anything else. Don't hate it for the creators (MadCatz), as this headset will convert every one of you. Equipped with True surround sound unlike its competitors (Turtle Beach). Yes, I can bash on turtle beach because I owned the Turtle Beach X4's.

If you insist on wireless though, as the Trittons come with more wires than NASA's space suits, I would say to give Turtle Beach a try. While they are NOT true surround sound, they are a very nice headset. WARNING: If you have a Plasma TV do NOT use the X4's. The interference from the plasma tv will disrupt the signal, leaving you with nothing but an expensive Turlte Beach paperweight.

Personally, after using both, I would still only use Tritton's, combined of course with Ghost Pro, Warlord Pro, and Ninja Pro (makes enemies louder)!!!

Xbox 720? The Future or Experiment Gone Wrong?

Yes, this is a controller to a Sega Dreamcast...wtf were they thinking? I put this up here because I have a bad feeling about the next generation of Xbox console aka a possible Xbox 720. I don't think it will be called that...

Microsoft did not set themselves up to do much console-wise after the 360. They can only add on; hence, the Kinect.

Nintendo on the other hand blew us away recently with the Wii-U!!

Microsoft has got to pull all strings if there is to be a next generation console and it has to be more than a all 3D or something like that...3D is already getting old!!

What do I want from the next generation gaming industry? Focus more on Cooperative gameplay!! Stop trying to come out with fancy consoles and work on what co-op desperately needs-better servers! Right now that is where gaming is at. I forecast that the next Xbox console won't be any different except a built in Kinect. Nintendo-all you have done is caught up to the rest of the gaming world...

 

May I PROUDLY be the first, since this is my blog anyway, to show gaming of the future. True, cooperative gameplay has been around; but, Gears of War 3 is the first of its kind to actually be TRUE 4 player co-op in campaign! I am personally psyched about this and can't wait. I planned at first to even take the release day off; but, I am transferring to NY and so I won't be able to play it until end of October...sucks for me! Just gives all you guys out there a chance to practice up before I get in on the action!!!

So, welcome to my new and very first blog All Things Xbox 360! Yes, it is obviously new and much improvement is needed. As the days go on and as I learn more through trial and error, I hope everyone will help make this a success...as well as remain patient with me!!

I want this blog to be all about Xbox 360, the only console I have and use. More specifically, it will be about mostly shooter games and a few other games that simply incorporated shooting in it like Borderlands, Assassins Creed and Left 4 Dead style gaming.

I enjoy keeping up with advacements in gaming, gaming news and updates of upcoming games. That's the main reason I decided to start a blog...as well as the few buck$ that apparently come from ads (aka reservation downpayments!!)

So, here is to a future of blogging...may it forever bring me many pennies, many visitors, and even more anticipation of All Things Xbox 360!!  (standing ovation and cheers!!!)
